Kizuki Hosho – the highest quality paper, hand-made, made by Ichibei Iwano – the Living National Treasure. Made in 100% of the Japanese kozo.
Kizuki – the term referring to the traditional handmade papers, produced exclusively from kozo fibres.
Hosho – in the past, this term was used to define documents exchanged between the emperor’s court and shoguns. Now it denotes paper, which for the reason of a very good quality is used to make graphic reproductions (including wood engravings), in calligraphy and conservation of works of art.
