Chigiri washi – a decorative paper, prepared to be freely separated into smaller pieces, with the possibility of their further ornamentation (painting, sticking on various base, making collages).
Chigiri washi is used to decorate notepads, cards and boxes. Using it to create words, one can compose original messages or signatures. It is an excellent starting point to a further ornamenting process, for instance with the use of paints. When attached to a stick, they can be used to make theatre puppets.
